As your new Toyota dealer here in the greater Owings Mills area, we spend a lot of time talking about one of the most popular vehicles on our lot: the Prius hybrid. We aren't the only who can't stop discussing this eco-friendly member of our new model lineup, though, as people are apparently tweeting about, 'liking,' and sharing this car all over the internet.
The social analytics company GenSent Insights recently released a study that found that this popular hybrid had the highest media value out of all the cars in its segment. This was determined after analyzing data from Google, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, and then assigning a monetary score to each vehicle based on how frequently people talked about it on these different forums.
They computed the Prius to be worth an impressive $14.5 million.
What drove this score? This high value is primarily due to its 86,000 Twitter mentions, an amount that is three times that of the rest of its competitors. If you follow Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson, then you may have seen his March mention of the hybrid which got a total of 8,371 mentions on the social site.

We're sure you'll be impressed by its cabin, drivability, and, of course, how easy it makes it for you to stay away from gas stations.
