There are six trim levels available for the gas-powered Highlander: the L, LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, and Platinum. All trim levels include features like privacy glass, windshield wiper de-icers, and LED headlights and taillights. Depending on your trim level, you can choose to up the curb appeal. Select the XSE to add a sporty front bumper and lower spoiler. If you want to boost your Highlander's elegance, select a chrome-plated grille surround in the Limited or Platinum, a lower bumper silver finish in the Platinum, or a rear lower bumper metallic finish in the Limited.
Engine (Power)
The 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbo engine offers 265 horsepower. Get wherever you need to go using the Highlander's 310 pound-feet of torque and available dynamic torque vectoring all-wheel drive. This SUV has a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds.
Performance
The Highlander can take you anywhere with its three driving modes. Sport, Eco, and Normal modes allow you to choose to focus on acceleration, fuel efficiency, or a combination of both. If you select an all-wheel-drive model, you can take advantage of the multi-terrain select feature. This powerful tool lets you maximize traction regardless of whether you drive through sand, rocks, or snow. The Highlander L and LE offer a generous eight-passenger seating capacity, which is also available for the XLE and Limited trim levels. Other passenger comfort features are available, including a heated second row in the Platinum, second-row sunshades in the XLE and up, and ambient interior lighting in the XSE and up. Drivers can enjoy the all-in-one functionality of the available 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen, which brings all of your critical information into one convenient place so you can focus on the road ahead. Subscribe to Wi-Fi Connect so your Highlander can provide a 4G internet connection to your passengers or plug into one of the five USB ports for on-demand charging. The XSE offers a unique two-tone interior, with leather-trimmed seats in red and black.
Safety Features
Drive with confidence with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ included with all trim levels. The backup camera may have a projected path or dynamic gridlines, depending on your choice of trim. A panoramic view monitor is available for the Limited and is included in the Platinum. All 2023 Toyota Highlander models come equipped with eight airbags and seat belt reminders for the driver as well as front and rear passengers.
