Trim Levels (Exterior)

The 2023 Toyota RAV4 is available in six trims: LE, XLE, XLE Premium, Adventure, TRD Off-Road, and Limited. For the liftgate, you can upgrade to either a power or hands-free power liftgate to help you load items into the cargo area. Its crisp lines, squared-off wheel wells, and contrasting trim give the SUV a rugged appearance, while its LED headlights and blistered fenders give off a sporty vibe.

Engine (Power)

Every 2023 Toyota RAV4 has a powerful engine that delivers an exciting ride. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine cranks out 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels, but all-wheel drive is also available.

Performance

The SUV's powertrain works well for everyday driving, helping you pass other vehicles along the highway and dealing with the busy city traffic with constant stop-and-go. Its multi-link rear suspension absorbs many of the bumps you would encounter, and the SUV remains steady whenever you turn corners. Some trims can tow a maximum of 1,500 pounds with the exception of the Adventure and TRD Off-Road models that can tow up to 3,500 pounds.

Interior

The interior of the 2023 Toyota RAV4 has a sleek feel, and all travelers have plenty of room to stretch their legs. The cargo area is just as spacious, with 37.6 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats and 69.8 cubic feet of space once you fold down these seats. Cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front seats come standard, but premium upgrades, such as heated rear seats, synthetic leather seats, and a heated steering wheel, are available.

You will find a fun and easy to operate infotainment system for the 2023 model year. This new design has simpler menus, and you can find them on either the 8.0-inch or 10.5-inch touchscreen displays. Other new features include wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cloud-based navigation, and a voice command system. If these features aren't enough, you can add wireless smartphone charging and a 120-volt household-style power outlet.

Safety Features

Toyota vehicles have numerous standard and available safety features, and you'll find both types with the 2023 RAV4. Several standard driver-assistance features include forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic high-beam headlights, adaptive cruise control, and traffic-sign recognition. A few add-on features include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a surround-view parking camera system, and a digital rearview mirror with an integrated camera display.
