The Toyota Hybrid Warranty covers various components and systems of Toyota hybrid vehicles. Whether you need to purchase a new car or wonder if you’re still covered, here’s what you should know about this warranty type.

Explore the Toyota Hybrid Warranty
The Hybrid Warranty from Toyota provides hybrid-related component coverage on top of basic coverage for some of the car’s systems. Starting with model year 2020, this warranty includes hybrid (HV) battery coverage for 10 years from the date of the first use or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Other hybrid-related components covered for eight years or 100,000 miles include:
- Battery control module
- Inverter with converter
- Hybrid control module
Non-Hybrid Components Included in the Hybrid Warranty
In its warranty for hybrid vehicles, Toyota also includes powertrain and rust-through coverage. The rust-through warranty covers all sheet metal components, such as the vehicle’s body, against corrosion perforation for 60 months and unlimited miles from the date of the first use. The powertrain coverage has a duration of 60 months or 60,000 miles.
Components included in the powertrain coverage:
- Engine
- FWD or RWD system
- Transmission
- Seatbelts
- Airbags
Emissions Coverage
The Hybrid Warranty also includes emissions coverage, but coverages vary under Federal and California regulations. Drivers should check their specific Warranty & Maintenance Guide.
